Injury Report
*Left Winger Matt Cooke participated fully in today’s practice and is regarded as probable for Wednesday night. Cooke indicated he did not have any nausea symptoms or light sensitive issues following Saturday’s game but did have a few headaches on Sunday.
Cooke skated on a line with Jordan Staal and Tyler Kennedy in practice today.

*Defenseman Brooks Orpik also participated fully in today’s practice. Orpik was not around after the skate to speak to the media but was seen getting treatment on his leg following practice.
Like Cooke, Orpik is expected to play.
*Meanwhile, Chris Kunitz is regarded as “questionable at best” to play in game 1. As noted in the practice report, Kunitz spent line rushes on the 5th line with Eric Godard. Every once in a while, Sidney Crosby would take a shift with the line.
Kunitz has not been ruled out for tomorrow’s game but at this point it doesn’t appear he will be cleared to return.
Last week a source close to Kunitz told me it was expected that his shoulder injury would linger into this week but there has been optimism that he would be cleared to play.
Expect Kunitz back by Game 2 or 3 at the latest.
*Evgeni Malkin appears to be moving closer to full health. Malkin has had no issues with his injured foot over the past 4-to-5 days.
