Some Pens morning skate Tidbits as the team goes through preparations for tonight’s showdown against the Philadelphia Flyers.
A win in regulation and Pittsburgh will tie the Flyers for first place in the Atlantic Division. Philadelphia comes into tonight’s action with a game in hand on Pittsburgh.
The Penguins can also reach the 100 point plateau with two points tonight.
Overall, the team has a chance to finish with 110 points this season and need a 5-1 finish to reach 50 wins, a goal head coach Dan Bylsma said a few weeks back that he’s striving to accomplish as a coach.
Pittsburgh is 9-2-2 in their last 13 games.
10:30 a.m. – Lines and Lineup Buzz

Mark Letestu is back on the ice this morning and is expected to return to the lineup tonight. He has missed the past five games with an upper body injury.
Letestu is centering the top line of James Neal and Alex Kovalev.
Max Talbot has moved back down to 3rd line center.
Mike Comrie appears to be the odd-man out and is skating on the “extra line”.

Sidney Crosby skated again this morning going through his daily on-ice workouts. According to the Penguins, Crosby was joined by Matt Cooke, Eric Tangradi and Nick Johnson.
Goaltender Brent Johnson is back on the ice after missing the past 3 games due to a sore neck. He’s expected to be available to backup Marc Andre Fleury tonight.
Dustin Jeffrey remains off the ice. We may get an update from the team on him today. All parties involved have been pretty quiet on his status
