- Summary: Jason Bay had a huge day going 2-4 with a homerun and 4rbi’s to lead the Pirates to a 6-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Pitcher Shane Youman held the Cubs to two runs over 6 innings to improve to 2-0 on the season. Youman is 2-0 since being called up from Triple-A Indianapolis for his only two career victories. Youman allowed 8 baserunners over 6 innings but was able to work his way out of couple jams before releiver Shawn Chacon replaced him and retired all six batters he faced before Matt Capps pitched the ninth in a non-save situation.
