Goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic, as expected, will get the start tonight vs the Detroit Red Wings. Nedeljkovic, 2-3-2 on the season with a 3.25 GAA and .882 SV%, has lost his last three appearances, allowing 12 goals on 76 shots during that span. Nedeljkovic’s two wins this season have come against offensively challenged teams in the Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim Ducks. A good omen for the Penguins tonight? Detroit ranks 30th in the NHL in goals per game. The newsworthy goaltending decision will be Tristan Jarry backing up Nedeljkovic as Joel Blomqvist is in the press box.
