Alex Nedeljkovic exited 13 minutes into Monday’s preseason game with an injury that saw Joel Blomqvist shine in relief, stopping 20 of 21 shots in the Penguins 5-1 win. Blomqvist after a rock opening preseason game, has come on pretty strong, earning strong praise from head coach Mike Sullivan. Sullivan called Blomqvist “terrific in the win. “We were on a penalty kill exhibition for a lot of the second period, and I thought he was a big part of it. We’re real encouraged with his response,” Sullivan said of Blomqvist getting better with each start. [/hide]
