MARTE HEADING TO DL
The Pirates will place Starling Marte on the disabled list, according to Rob Biertempfel of the Tribune-Review. Marte was hit in the head by a pitch on Friday but stayed in the game.

Davis to breakout in second half?
Ike Davis had a big game in Tuesday night’s 12-7 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Davis went 3-5 with a home run, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored.
Davis calls himself a second half hitter and the last two seasons he’s been one.
