The Detroit Red Wings are on the verge of finalizing a deal with forward Todd Bertuzzi according to ESPN.com. The deal is worth around $1.5 million, pending a physical.
Pittsburgh held conversations with Bertuzzi’s camp but couldn’t offer more than $800,000 per season.
Bertuzzi, 34, had 15 goals and 29 assists and was a minus-13 in 66 games this past season with the Calgary Flames.
