Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers to a 14-3 victory and played the entire second half with a high ankle sprain. Head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed after the game that Roethlisberger and center Maurkice Pouncey have high ankle sprains. Unlike Roethlisberger, Pouncey did not return to the game. Roethlisberger will have an MRI on Friday where team doctors will get a good feel on the extent of the injury. X-rays were negative and Tomlin said that the doctors cleared Ben to return in the second half. Roethlisberger went 17 of 22 for 280 yards, throwing 2 touchdowns, highlighted by his 79 yard TD pass to Antonio Brown in the 4th quarter to close out the game |
