were in town Thursday night, a Vancouver 4-3 overtime win, the chatter around the Penguins and Canucks is Rutherford has made it clear to anyone who will listen that he’s on the hunt for a top-6 forward, ideally a true impact player. One source joked this week ‘no one is going to out-bid Rutherford for Jake Guentzel’ if Pittsburgh truly gets to the point where they seriously mull a present/future type offers for Guentzel. It is time to trade Guentzel and Rutherford will gives us what we need. We can get a young player like Nils Hoglander and a top 4 defensive defenseman like Carson Soucy 6ft 5 and maybe a pick.
Hell yes if we really want Jake we go after him in the off season.
