SCOUTS WATCH
Close to 10 teams have scouts in attendance tonight for Penguins – Canadiens. Among the notable teams include the Colorado Avalanche and Vancouver Canucks.
Colorado and Pittsburgh have been scouting each other quite frequently over the last two months. Vancouver rarely has scouts in attendance at Consol. Vancouver is in the news a lot lately with the Canucks listening on Ryan Kesler. The Penguins are mulling a run at Kesler.
Also in attendance includes scouts from Boston, New York Rangers, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Philadelphia and New Jersey.
PENS SCOUTING PANTHERS TONIGHT
Just like they often did prior to the Olympic Break, the Penguins are scouting the Florida Panthers tonight who face the Washington Capitals. Brad Boyes continues to get linked to the Penguins among NHL types and defenseman Dmitri Kulikov is a player the Penguins really like.
