$3.84 million is left on Levi Brown’s contract for this season and the Cardinals think so much of him, they are picking up most of the tab just to go away for a seventh round pick. The Cardinals will pay $3 million of Brown’s remaining salary, while the Steelers will pay just $840,000 in 2013. Basically what the Cardinals did was get Brown’s contract off their hands as he’s due $6 million in 2014, and $5 million in 2015, 2016. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger isn’t ready to endorse Brown yet. “I don’t have much of a reaction,” Roethlisberger said Wednesday. “I obviously know the name. It’s Pittsburgh West out there, so it makes sense. We’ll just have to see what the plan is for him and the other guys that are here.” |
