The cuts keep coming for the Steelers.
The team informed left guard Chris Kemoeatu today they will be releasing him at the start of the league year. Kemoeatu who lost his starting left guard job to Doug Legursky, was scheduled to earn a salary of $3.577 million. Kemoeatu’s agent indicates Kemoeatu was open to taking a paycut and informed the Steelers of that.
The guard position is among the top priorities for the Steelers heading into the 2012 draft as having a dominant guard next to pro bowl center Maurkice Pouncey tops the Steelers wishlist.
