Forward Eric Tangradi and defensemen Brian Strait and Simon Despres have been re-assigned to Wilkes Barre/Scranton so they can play in the AHL playoffs.
All three had valuable experience in the Penguins brief playoff run this spring.
Wilkes Barre leads the Hershey Bears 2-0 in their first round playoff series.
Also joining Wilkes Barre for their playoff run is 2011 5th round pick Dominic Uher who has signed an amateur try-out agreement so he can play in the AHL playoffs.
The 19 year old center is fast rising prospect who has a strong two-way game and led the Spokane Chiefs in goals with 33 and was second in assists (35) and points (68). At this point, Uher joining Wilkes Barre will be more about getting practice time.
Uher had 5 goals and 4 assists in 15 playoff games, including 4 goals and 1 assist in his final five playoff games.
