Off-Day Buzz: Sullivan not considering Goaltending Change
The talk of the Penguins needing to play Marc Andre Fleury has hit full stride over the last 24 hours. From some of the local media to the national media, the calls for Fleury to start Game 6 have been all over the internet.
Facts are any talk of the Penguins considering a goaltending change was media driven by the Fleury media friends crowd. Penguin coaches never gave much thought to one.
Win or lose, this is Matt Murray’s series the rest of the way and has always been once he led the Penguins to a 3-1 series lead.
Mike Sullivan today didn’t even bother messing with the Capitals to play a guessing game on who might start.
Matt Murray will start Game 6, Sullivan confirmed moments ago when meeting with reporters.
Murray is 6-2 with a 1.96 goals-against-average and .937 save percentage. He has posted a quality start in six of the eight games.

Olli Maatta will return to the lineup and while there was some thought that Justin Schultz’ strong Game 5 and Ian Cole being benched in the third period following his penalty might lead to Cole coming out, but that is not likely to be the case.
Schultz worked as the 4th pairing and was off both power play units.
