The Pittsburgh Steelers are officially on to their fourth kicker of the 2015 season and there’s no guarantee it stops at four.
The Steelers this afternoon signed kicker Chris Boswell and released veteran kicker Josh Scobee who they are paying more in cash to this season than Kelvin Beachum and Le’Veon Bell combined.
Put that into perspective.
Boswell was with the New York Giants for the team’s 2015 offseason and training camp. He spent one week of the 2014 season on the Houston Texans’ practice squad. Boswell originally signed with the Texans as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Rice on May 16, 2014.
The concern with Boswell is he has never kicked in an NFL game.
