Steelers must win and get help
The Steelers chances of defending their Super Bowl title is in doubt as the Super Bowl champs need some help and a win at Miami to earn a playoff berth.
There will be plenty of scoreboard watching for the Steelers who can make the playoffs on three different scenarios (Win @ MiA + HOU lose + NYJ lose; Win @ MIA + HOU lose + Bal lose or Win @ Mia + BAL lose + NYJ lose + Den Lose). The first case of business for the Steelers is winning on the road against Miami then let the rest of the scenarios take care of themselves.
Polamalu, Keisel inactive
*As expected Troy Polamalu will miss his 11th game of the season. Polamalu did not participate in warmups. Tyrone Carter will remain the starter at strong safety in place of Polamalu.
Meanwhile, defensive end Brett Keisel (neck) is also inactive for the Steelers. Keisel missed all three practices this week but was hopeful to play. Nick Eason and Ziggy Hood will replace Keisel in the lineup with Eason getting the start.
*Hines Ward will play after being limited all week in practice. Ward has hamstring injuries to both legs.
