Woodley, Keisel limited
— A few Steelers notes as the Steelers have hit the practice field this afternoon.
*Linebacker LaMarr Woodley and defensive end Brett Keisel were very limited during early stages of today’s workout. Both were moving around slowly and appear a few days away from testing their injured hamstrings.
Neither are expected to participate in today’s practice.
Keisel is believed to be at least a week away from returning to game action and Woodley’s status looks very much up in the air at this point.
Don’t look for Woodley to fully test his injury until later in the week. Players who don’t practice by Friday, usually don’t play on game days.
Wednesday practices are more of a light walk-through now, with Thursday’s being the only intense practice of the week.
Sanders named Special Teams Player of the Week
Kick returner Emmanuel Sanders was named Special Teams Player of the Week, NFL announced this afternoon.
Sanders returned 4 Kickoffs for 144 yds and made a tackle in coverage. He also had one fumble.
