Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports, Mike Thomas, a 5-foot-8 1/2 wide receiver from University of Arizona visited the Steelers today.
Thomas, the pac 10’s all-time leader in receptions had 74 receptions – 826 yds and four touchdowns in 2008
Where the Steelers may be the most intrigued with Thomas is his ability in the kick return game. Thomas ran a 4.30 in the 40-yard sprint at the NFL combine in Indianapolis. and in 2007 he had 1,826 all-purpose yards. Thomas lacks ideal size but is regarded as one of the top three slot receivers in the draft.
Thomas is projected to be a late-round pick.
