I’m hearing forward Mike Zigomanis

who underwent shoulder surgery on Janaury 14th, 2009 to repair a torn rotator cuff, will see his shoulder specialist on Friday April 18th, where Zigomanis is expected to be cleared for contact.
Zigomanis remains on schedule to be taking off of IR in about 20-24 days days according to source.
Zigomanis is projected to be available for action by the middle of the second round, if the Penguins make it that far but don’t expect to see him in a Penguins uniform until next season.
Zigomanis skated for about 45 minutes today before the Penguins morning skate and will travel with the team to Montreal this weekend.
Dr. James Andrews of the Alabama Medicine and Orthopaedic Center performed the surgery on Zigomanis to repair a torn rotator cuff.
