CRAWFORD ON PENGUINS SHORTLIST?
Veteran head coach Marc Crawford had been a name out there for a few weeks now that team sources claimed ownership had interest in prior to the Jim Rutherford hiring, due to his past history of coaching star players, and is Crawford now on Jim Rutherford’s shortlist of candidates to interview this week?

Citing a Penguins source, NHL Insider John Shannon of Sportsnet reports Crawford is expected to be among the candidates to interview this week.
Crawford is the head coach for the ZSC Lions of the National League. He is reportedly one of the three to four finalists still in the running for the Florida Panthers job.
Crawford won a Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 1996. He last coached in the NHL in 2010-2011. He has a career record of 549-421-100. In eight playoff appearances, Crawford has a career record of 43-40. The last time Crawford coached a playoff game was the 2003-2004 season.
