It is expected that Sidney Crosby will not return to game action until after the All-Star break (Jan 28 - Jan 30) and while some of Crosby's teammates have indicated that the Penguins captain appears to be feeling somewhat better, Crosby is still having concussion like symptoms and is not symptom free.
The Penguins have four games remaining before the All-Star break and many believe Crosby will also end up not participating in the game, if he's cleared by then, which appears unlikely
Crosby has been sidelined since Jan 6. When first diagnosed, the Penguins chacterized Crosby with a mild concussion but the injury has been much more severe.
What's been interesting is that after on Friday when the Penguins cancelled a surprise Ray Shero media session when contacts say Shero was going to discuss Crosby's status, the Penguins continue to give no real info on Crosby.
"I have not spoken with the trainers today about Sid and where he’s at and how he’s feeling. I don’t have new information for you about that situation, " Bylsma said today after practice. He continues to get better. He won’t progress until he’s symptom free to go on to the next stage.
