What is the fallout of Jordan Staal turning down a 10 year deal believed to be worth $58 million?
Here's what I've been able to gather:
*GM Ray Shero and agent Paul Krepelka met in person today and the Penguins, according to one source with knowledge of the situation, made a 10 year - $58 million offer and this was just a starting point for talks from the Penguins end. Krepelka though indicated to Shero that they have no plans to negotiate right now off the Penguins offer as Staal wants to keep his options open and isn't ready to commit to the Penguins
"Jordan is not prepared to enter into a contract extension at this time, " Krepelka said when reached for comment.
