A 2 hour and 50 minute rain delay didn’t side track Francisco Liriano (9-3, 2.00 ERA) Wednesday Night. Liriano pitched seven shutout innings, allowing four hits over seven innings, while striking out six and walking one, leading the Pittsburgh Pirates (54-36) to a 2-1 win over the Oakland A’s (54-38).
