2010 All-Star Evan Meek (shoulder) has seen a drop in velocity this season and has been placed on the DL this afternoon, the team announced.
With Meek going on the DL, the team has recalled reliever Tim Wood from Triple-A Indianapolis.
Meanwhile, catcher Chris Snyder who is undergoing back surgery, has been placed on the 60 day DL. His season is likely over.
Meek joins Alvarez, Doumit, Snyder and Ohlendorf as regulars who are currently sidelined.
