  • Despite throwing 36 pitches Tuesday night, manager Clint Hurdle went right back with Tony Watson Wednesday afternoon in a crucial situation in the 8th inning. Entering the game with 1 out in the 8th and facing Cards meat of the order, Watson struck out Matt Holliday looking and got Matt Adams to groundout to send the game to the bottom of the 8th.
