The Minnesota Wild remain hopeful that the franchise will be able to sign Marian Gaborik to a long term extension but Wild GM Doug Riseborough is coming around to the idea that he may have to move his star winger. Gaborik remains non-committal and according to a source the Wild’s scouting staff has begun targeting potential players the Wild could get in return for Gaborik. A player the Wild have at the top of their wishlist plays in the Atlantic Division.

Anaheim Ducks super star Teemu Selanne is ready to return to the Anaheim Ducks but is growing concerned with the Anaheim Ducks lack of ability to move salary. The Ducks have been aggressively trying to move defenseman Mathieu Schneider and his cap hit of $5.6 million but have yet to find a taker. Clearing Schneider’s salary will only free up about 3 million in cap space. The Ducks are also willing to move forward Todd Marchant who currently has a cap hit of $2.5 million. NFL: Baltimore to sign Willie Anderson?

Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Willie Anderson has drawn interest from up to three teams according to multiple reports. Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports the Ravens, Chargers, and Buccaneers have shown the most interest in Anderson. Anderson was in Baltimore on Wednesday and passed a physical. Anderson is expected to make a decision by the end of the week. The Bears previously showed interested but have eyed cheaper solutions like Wayne Gandy. The Steelers never inquired about Anderson, according to a source.
