WILLIAM GAY TO START AT CORNER
The biggest question mark with Cortez Allen coming into this season wasn’t going to be his play, it was going to be his ability to stay healthy.
In his short NFL career, Allen has been injury prone and that has continued into 2013.
Allen has been officially ruled out for Monday’s game, paving the way for William Gay to start opposite Ike Taylor.
Also ruled out is TE Heath Miller and RB Le’Veon Bell. Miller could be an option to play in Week 3. Bell is at least three to four weeks away and considered unlikely to play before the bye week.
Cornerback Curtis Brown is unlikely to play Monday night due to an illness. Brown is doubtful.
Kicker Shaun Suisham (hamstring) is probable and expected to play.
