Penguins winger Pascal Dupuis was taken to the hospital on Friday after experiencing symptoms that may or may not be related to his blood clot history, the team announced prior to the Penguins taking the ice vs the Oilers.
The Penguins would receive good news a few hours later in that tests came back negative for blood clots and Dupuis was released from the hospital. The team has ruled Dupuis’ out for Saturday’s game and Dupuis will be re-evaluated in Pittsburgh to see what’s going on.[hide]
The Penguins tonight extended their winning streak to six games with a 2-1 win over the Oilers. Phil Kessel broke a 1-1 tie with a power play goal mid-way through the third period. Jeff Zatkoff made 25 saves on 26 shots.
Pittsburgh has won nine of 10.
