The Tyler Glasnow experiment in the Majors has been pretty much a disaster and now it’s back to the minors for Glasnow after a disaster of an outing Friday night where he allowed 10 hits and 7 runs in 4 innings.
Glasnow is 2-6 with a 7.95 ERA in 12 starts for the Pirates.
Most concerning with Glasnow is that there’s been little to no improvement from him since June and he reached the point where the Pirates had no choice but to send him down with Jameson Taillon coming back.
Glasnow is a raw pitcher and only 23 years old but this is not what the Pirates and many around baseball expected to see from Glasnow when a year ago he was regarded as one of baseball’s top-10 prospects.
