A number of GM’s and agents have arrived in Montreal and the rumor mill is heating up.
1:31 p.m. – The growing consensus is that Wild GM Chuck Fletcher and Leafs GM Brian Burke will be the most active GM’s at the draft.
1:15 p.m. – 47 yr old Chris Chelios wants to play in the NHL next season and join an Eastern Conference Team.
Don’t be surprised if the agent for Chelios contacts the Penguins as Chelios expressed an interest in Pittsburgh following the lockout but from Pittsburgh’s end, there won’t be any interest.
1:01 p.m. – The 2010 Winter Class is set: The Boston Bruins will host the Philadelphia Flyers at Fenway Park which will then set the stage for the New York Rangers to host the Washington Capitals in 2011 at Yankee Stadium.

12:00 p.m. – Allan Walsh the agent for Martin Havlat will meet with Hawks GM Dale Tallon on Wednesday and Havlat wants to get a deal done before the end of the week. He has made it known that he doesn’t want to leave Chicago.
There is no truth to the rumors that the Rangers have offered Chris Drury for Dany Heatley. The Rangers are trying to get a third team involved in talks. The Sens have no interest in Drury.
The Rangers are trying to move any of their big four salaries. The Globe and Mail reports, the Leafs are showing interest in Wade Redden which would clear just under $7 million in cap space for the Rangers.
The Rangers have their sights set on making a run at winger Marian Gaboirk and Dany Heatley, Jonathan Cheechoo via trade.
Do not rule out a possible return of Alexei Kovalev to NYC. There is a mutual interest for a third go around as Kovalev’s wife wants to get back to the New York area. Washington also has interest.
A return to Pittsburgh is unlikely according to league sources, as Kovalev is not that interested in returning to Pittsburgh like he use to be.
