Pirates make lowball offer to Sanchez?
Going public with contract talks between Freddy Sanchez and Jack Wilson, just before the trade deadline has caught many industry insiders by surprise.
TIOPS baseball insider John Perrotto reports, the Pirates have made two year offers to both players.
Sanchez is seeking a four year deal worth atleast $6 million per season. The Pirates offer is believed to be in the low $5 million range.
Wilson could return on a two year deal but a two year deal at a lesser salary is a lowball offer to the 31 year old Sanchez.
