Bullpen – Edge Philadelphia
Outlook
Milwaukee was dealt a huge blow this week when it was revealed Ben Sheets will not be available for the NLDS. Philadelphia will look to take advantage of the Sheet-less Brewers in game 1 going up against 22 year old pitcher Yovani Gallardo. The Brewers have a serious weakness in the back of the rotation with Sheets out and the bullpen has been an issue all year. We all know what C.C Sabathia will bring to the table but the key to the Brewers pitching staff will be Dave Bush. The Brewers will need him to steal a game. The middle of the Brewers batting order is very strong with Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder and those two will look to carry the Brewers offensively but the Phillies can match the Brewers power with Ryan Howard the N.L’s best hitter, Chase Utley and Pat Burrell.
Final Analysis
Both teams have the ability to put up a lot of runs. This series could come down to which bullpen performs better. Philadelphia has the edge in that department and the loss of Ben Sheets may be too much for the Brewers to overcome. Prediction Philadelphia wins in 5
