Penguins assistant David Quinn is also a factor in both spots. Very much in the mix for the Seattle job, while Pittsburgh is comfortable elevating Quinn if they indeed come out of this search not enamored with anybody. Expectations continue to be that Quinn will be a finalist for both spots and while Quinn would not be a majorly popular pick behind the Penguins bench, he’s been popular with other teams which says something.
