The Penguins are pleased with the play of the team and don’t seem worried about the power play going 1-14. There has been a bit of a spin game, with a lot of insiders speaking very highly of the Senators, saying they are a much better team than last year. “The ice was awful and the team is still trying to find its continuity with Sergei Gonchar sidelined has been a common theme.” The overall assumption appears to be playing in Stockholm was a great experience but it was like the Penguins played two preseason games.
According to a source the Penguins are going to be patient with Miroslav Satan. Sidney Crosby is not the easiest player to play with right off the bat and it’s going to take Satan some time to get accustomed to Crosby. Satan (33 yrs old) scored 16 goals last season
Petr Sykora is expected to test his groin injury tomorrow in practice. Sykora missed both games over the weekend
