Insider Only Wednesday’s Practice News and Notes

It was believed defenseman Philippe Boucher would return to practice this week and Boucher took the ice this morning at Mellon Arena. Boucher who under-went foot surgery in February will be available to come off of IR in about 10 days according to sources.
* Right winger Petr Sykors skated for the first time in about 5 days this morning. Sykora has missed the Penguins past two games and is battling through a shoulder/rib injury that has been bothering him since the start of the Penguins 5 game road trip in Chicago
Sykora skated for about

25-30 minutes and was shooting the puck well. Taking a slap shot still bothers him a bit but Sykora has not been ruled out for tomorrow’s game. He was getting treatment after the skate and will give it a go at the morning skate in Columbus on Thursday.
The vibe I got is Marc Andre Fleury will start against Columbus and Mathieu Garon will start on Saturday.
