Taylor at the top of Tampa Bay’s wishlist?
When free agency gets underway, Ike Taylor remains one of the wildcards at the cornerback position.
There is said to be mixed opinions on where his value is around the league but three teams expected to pursue him heavily are the Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
There is said to be a strong mutual interest between the Eagles and Taylor but the team to watch for is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers have significant cap space and of the three, are regarded as the team that is prepared to overpay.
Head coach Raheem Morris, a close friend of Mike Tomlin’s, has Taylor at the top of his wishlist, according to one league source.
Taylor also has an off-season home in the Orlando area.
Scouts believe Taylor has the ability to play in any scheme.
