Pittsburgh Steelers star linebacker James Harrison will report to the Steelers off-season workout program on Monday according to his agent.
Harrison who is seeking a long-term contract is not close to reaching a deal with the Steelers. Talks are currently at a stalemate as the two sides are far apart on the amount of money guaranteed.
Sources indicate Harrison
is seeking $22 – $25 million in guaranteed money. Some believe he may be even seeking close to $30 million guaranteed. The Steelers have been reluctant to go above $16 million in guarantees as we’ve been hearing the Steelers don’t believe Harrison deserves more guaranteed money than Troy Polamalu who received $15.75 million guaranteed in the summer of 2007.
