LATEST JAROME IGINLA RUMORS
Word has been buzzing in the last 24 hours that winger Jarome Iginla has given the Calgary Flames a list of teams he would accept a trade too and that Flames GM Jay Feaster has reached out to those specific teams.
The Penguins are believed to be among the select teams Iginla will waive his no trade clause.
Darren Dreger of TSN reports, according to a source, that Pittsburgh, Boston, Los Angeles and Chicago are on Iginla’s list.
Teams including the Penguins have been in dark of what the Flames exact asking price for Iginla will be but the Flames are widely expected to seek at least a three for one return (1st round pick, top prospect and young NHL roster player).
The trade deadline is April 3rd and the Penguins are considering options on defense and at forward, top-6 forward and bottom depth.
One depth forward target off the market is Tampa Bay center Nate Thompson who today signed a four year extension with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
