GOOD MARKET DEVELOPING FOR SULLIVAN
A pretty good market is developing for Steve Sullivan I’m told. An NHL source tells me teams are calling and the Penguins aren’t one of them. The source says Pittsburgh has not spoken to Sullivan today but “Sullivan hasn’t ruled them out” if Pittsburgh comes back to them, assuming they miss out on Zach Parise.
Whether Sullivan will still be on the market by the time Parise makes a decision remains to be seen.
STRONG INTEREST IN SALVADOR
36 year old Bryce Salvador appears to be in position of captializing on a strong playoff run. “There is tremendous interest in him, ” an NHL source said. The Penguins though are not among the multiple teams to call about Salvador.
Boyes signs with Islanders
The Penguins placed a call into Brad Boyes to express possible interest in 12:00 p.m. hour but that’s all it was and Boyes has signed a one year deal with the New York Islanders.
