Penguins among final three teams in on Ruslan Fedotenko
Negotiations with Ruslan Fedotenko have continued this morning as Ray Shero and Allan Walsh continue to discuss the parameters of a new deal.
The Penguins remain somewhat optimistic as the team has not made any offers to potential winger targets and for the most part have put negotiations with others on the backburner.
That means the Penguins expect some movement soon. Fedotenko is believed to be waiting on Minnesota which is his top choice.
They may not have space for him which the Penguins believe could lead to him taking a discount to return to Pittsburgh but we know where that got the Penguins last year in waiting around for Hossa.
Fedotenko has received a number of offers including a four year offer from the Atlanta Thrashers. Penguins officials believe he isn’t seriouslly considering the Thrashers offer because of how miserable he was in New York.
