With the NFL supplemental draft on Monday, the Pittsburgh Steelers are doing their due diligence on Ohio State quarterback Terrell Pryor and that continued today.
Pryor met with Steelers officials today for almost over 2 hours, according to a team source. There continues to be mixed info going around whether the Steelers will place a bid but as the Trib’s Scott Brown reports, there are signs that the Steelers are giving strong consideration to submitting a 2012 draft pick for Pryor, who would like to be a quarterback at the next level but is not against playing any other position.
Pryor at 6-foot-5, 233-pounds showed during Saturday’s workout that he is a superior athlete and scouts have raved about his potential at wide receiver or tight end, with there being more intrigue about Pryor’s pro prospects as a tight end.
The Steelers would be hard pressed to hold a roster spot for Pryor who is suspended for the first five games.
