On the heels of Aaron Rodgers spending over six hours at the Steelers facility Friday, Russell’s Wilson camp, led by [hide] agent Mark Rodgers attempted to push forward on a deal with the New York Giants over the weekend to no avail. Despite contract parameters in place, the Giants message to Wilson continues to be the same that they haven’t been told by Rodgers agent David Dunn they have been ruled out, therefore, are not ready to close the Rodgers door. The NYG took a page out of the Steelers book last week in the Rodgers saga, signing Jameis Winston to a backup deal to give them time on the QB front. For Wilson the situation has pivoted him back to the Cleveland Browns as each side is looking strongly at each other in the last 48 hours. If Wilson and his inner circle have confidence Cleveland will not taking a QB at #2, don’t rule out Wilson taking things into his own hands then playing with the waiting game with the Giants. [/hide]
