Penguins optimistic Crosby will return this post-season
The bad news for the Penguins……[hide]
Sidney Crosby has been diagnosed with a concussion and won’t play in Game 4, Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan said. This is now the second concussion for Crosby this season.
Sullivan also revealed Conor Sheary has also been diagnosed with a concussion and will be going through the process as well. Sheary, though, did skate prior to the optional skate. Sullivan would not reveal if that means Sheary is further ahead of Crosby or not.
If there’s anything positive to take out of the Crosby news is that Sullivan said the team is optimistic of getting him back.
“He’s very upbeat,” Sullivan said. “We’re very optimistic and hopeful we’ll have him back in a timely fashion.”
Crosby was at the facility today and in good spirits, teammates said. [/hide]
