The Penguins revealed today Crosby has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Crosby who felt ill when arriving to the arena on Saturday morning for the team’s final exhibition game, had additional testing today and it has been determined Crosby has a concussion.

The concussion happened in Friday’s practice — the Penguins’ are claiming. —

The team plans to be mum on what exactly happened in Friday’s practice that resulted in the concussion.

“The details of those things we would prefer to keep in-house,” Sullivan said.

For now the Penguins open themselves up to questions regarding how it happened.

“We always have our players best interest in mind and this one will be no different,” Sullivan said of Crosby whose long concussion history will have the Penguins being extremely cautious.
