Thursday Injury Report
The Pittsburgh Steelers went through their second workout of the week this afternoon and while the Steelers will be getting one starter on the offensive line back, the Steelers 1st team O-line won’t be back at full strength against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Practice Notes
*Starting left tackle Max Starks continues to progress from a lower ankle sprain and participated fully in today’s practice, running first team left tackle.
Starting right guard Trai Essex missed his second straight practice and will not play this week. Essex is on crutches and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Doug Legursky who has surpassed Ramon Foster on the organizations depth chart.
Meanwhile, starting left guard Chris Kemoeatu was added to the team’s injury report today with a knee injury. Kemoeatu was limited in practice but expects to practice on Friday and be in the starting lineup on Sunday afternoon.
*On the defensive side of the ball, Casey Hampton continues to progress from a hamstring injury and practiced for the second straight day. Hampton appears on track to see some playing time against Tampa Bay.
Notes: Chris Kemoeatu and Hines Ward were each fined $5,000.00 for altercations in Sunday’s game against Tennessee.
