With Jerricho Cotchery off to Carolina, the Steelers have moved quickly agreeing to terms on a two year deal with vetern wide receiver Lance Moore. Moore visited the Steelers on Wednesday.
Moore, 30, had an injury plagued 2013 season, collecting 37 receptions for 459 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Moore, though, had a strong 2012 campaign with 65 receptions, 1,041 yards and 6 touchdowns. The 5-foot-9 Moore has a lot of playmaking ability and fits the quick passing game the Steelers have developed under Todd Haley.
What’s intriguing with Moore is that he has a knack for finding the endzone. Moore had touchdown seasons of 10 in 2008, 8 in 2010 and 2011, and a 6 touchdown season in 2012.
In his career Moore has 346 receptions for 4,281 yards and 38 touchdowns.
