Oregon State cornerback on the Steelers radar?

Sources have informed Inside Pittsburgh Sports, that the Pittsburgh Steelers will host Oregon State cornerback Keenan Lewis for a private workout on Thursday March 19th. Lewis is projected as a 3rd-4th round pick
Scouting Report: Lewis has safety like height but needs to bulk up a bit to be a safety in the NFL. Lewis is very aggressive at the line of scrimmage and has good foot quickness to turn and run with a receiver. Plants, drives and closes quickly and did well in some drills at the combine although his performance wasn’t overwhelming. Lewis gets his hands on a lot of balls due to his long arms for a player at his position but his hands are not as good as many scouts would like. Had a strong week of practice at the Senior Bowl and solid private workouts could guarantee him a 3rd round selection.
Other Draft Rumblings
The Steelers will attend Penn State’s pro day this week. Steelers scouts will be keeping an close eye on wide receiver Derrek Williams.
Also look for the Steelers to bring CB Alphonso Smith in for a private workout in the next couple weeks. Smith is a potential target in the first round.
