The Penguins are out of the Tyler Bozak sweepstakes as the team was informed late Wednesday night that Bozak would be signing elsewhere.
Pittsburgh was a longshot to begin with but they were among Bozak’s top 5 or 6 teams.
The Islanders were informed this afternoon that Bozak was no longer considering their offer.
The Av’s, Senators and Leafs are leading the pack with the Anaheim Ducks believed to be the mystery team in the running we were trying to chase down last night.
Sources do believe the Penguins will be among one of the top suitors for
Boston University defenseman Matt Gilroy. Gilroy is best friends with Brian Strait who will turn pro following the season and sign a three year contract.
