vokoun VOKOUN LATEST
The Pittsburgh Penguins had been preparing for Tomas Vokoun to miss at least a couple months and it could be even longer than that.

Moments ago, GM Ray Shero revealed that Vokoun will be sidelined for three to six months. Vokoun’s career could very well be over, though, no one has said that.
Vokoun will be on blood thinners and be re-evaluated after three months. Shero said that Vokoun can workout.
Shero again re-iterated that the team intends to give Jeff Zatkoff a shot as the No. 2 goaltender.
The Penguins have been linked to goaltenders Joe Theodore and Ilya Bryzgalov. Sources strongly deny there is any interest what so ever in Bryz and they will not consider bringing him into the room.
