Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma won’t keep anyone guessing on who his starting goaltender will be for Game 5. Bylsma moments ago announced that Tomas Vokoun will start in goal for Game 5.
“We brought Tomas Vokoun in to play big games for us,” Bylsma said. “Tomas is capable of being a great goalie for us.”

Vokoun was 3-0 against the Islanders in the regular season with a 0.90 GAA and .970 save percentage. For his career against NYI, Vokoun is 17-7-1 with a 1.95 GAA and .937 save percentage and 5 shutouts.
“He’s been very good vs the Islanders,” Bylsma said of Vokoun.
Vokoun is 3-8-0 with a 2.47 GAA and .922 save percentage all-time in the playoffs. Vokoun has not appeared in a post-season game since the 2006-2007 season.
